First statement from Ali Mahir Başarır following Böcek's arrest: Face us, Erdoğan, enough is enough

CHP members, who were waiting in front of the Antalya Courthouse for the decision to be made regarding Muhittin Böcek, made a statement following Böcek's arrest.

Ali Mahir Başarır spoke as follows:

I say this with shame, enough is enough; what kind of trouble has this country and this society fallen into? There is no crime, there are two allegations. They are throwing our mayors into prison with statements they force people in prison to sign. This is not acceptable... All over Turkey, the judiciary is convening like an organ of tutelage. We are facing a party-state.... A handful of judges are trampling on the will of 85 million people.

We are calling out to the one man in Ankara, take your hands off our municipalities....

If he has honor, dignity, and integrity, let him bring the ballot box, let him settle the score with us, face us, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, enough is enough, enough!
