First statement from İmamoğlu after arrest warrant! He addressed Erdoğan

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made his first statement following the decision to arrest him on corruption charges.

"Fear is of no use against destiny!

You will be defeated this way! You will be defeated that way.

You will be defeated by our righteousness, our courage, our humility, and our smiling faces!

My dear nation;

Never be sad, do not be sorrowful, do not lose your hope.

We will work together to remove this coup against our democracy, this black stain.

The days are near when the people managing this process will be held accountable both in this world and in the hereafter before the Almighty Creator.

I invite my 86 million citizens to rush to the ballot box and to announce our struggle for democracy and justice to the whole world.

I am standing tall, I will never bow down.

Everything will be very beautiful..."
