Görür stated, "Friends, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Harmanlı, Erdek/Balıkesir in the Marmara region.
The earthquake did not occur on the northern branch of the North Anatolian Fault (NAF) where we are expecting an earthquake.
On the contrary, it occurred on the southern branch, which has a normal fault component and passes north of Erdek.
