First statement from Özgür Özel and Dilek İmamoğlu after meeting with İmamoğlu

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been referred to the duty magistrate judge on charges of “establishing a criminal organization,” “taking bribes,” “rigging tenders,” and “aiding an armed terrorist organization” within the scope of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of 'corruption' and 'terrorism'.

İmamoğlu's interrogation, which began with identity verification, lasted approximately 2 hours, and the wait for the decision has begun.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL: HE IS MAINTAINING HIS STRENGTH

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Dilek İmamoğlu made statements to members of the press at the Istanbul Courthouse following the interrogation. Stating that he had met with İmamoğlu, Özel conveyed his message:

“He expressed that he believes this process has created significant awareness in Turkey and that he himself remains strong. He said he wants everyone else to stay strong as well.”

ELECTION MESSAGE FROM DİLEK İMAMOĞLU

Dilek İmamoğlu made a brief statement, saying, “I am going to cast my vote to determine the presidential candidate.”

Özel stated that he was heading to Saraçhane following the statement and that the decision regarding İmamoğlu would be announced within approximately 2 hours.
