Flash move from Özlem Çerçioğlu against Özgür Özel! 'He insulted my honor...'

Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu's resignation from the CHP and transfer to the AKP continues to remain on the agenda.

According to allegations, Çerçioğlu has initiated legal proceedings against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

Journalist Sinan Burhan, who reported the claim that surfaced on Tv100, shared the details of his conversation with Çerçioğlu. According to Burhan, Çerçioğlu announced that she had taken legal action, stating, “I have taken Özgür Özel to court because he insulted me and my honor.”

Çerçioğlu conveyed the following to Burhan during their conversation:

'I have taken Özgür Özel to court because he insulted me and my honor. 10 thousand citizens have resigned from the CHP. They tasked mayors from neighboring provinces to show reaction against me. These mayors were put to work to gather crowds and bring in citizens. They are bringing bused-in crowds to Aydın from neighboring provinces. Mayors and provincial chairs allocated budgets for this; people are being gathered with these budgets.

I met with Mr. Özgür at the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters. Together with the bureaucrat accompanying me, I told him about the zoning rent in Kuşadası. I also stated that immoral news reports were being made about my family. However, the Chairman did not make any comments.'
