Former Ankara Mayor Melih Gökçek, from the AKP, targeted ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş by sharing a flood photo allegedly taken in the capital.

Gökçek shared a flood photo and wrote, "The driver of the taxi with license plate 06-T-3311 called and ordered hot soup from Mansur Yavaş... The driver friend called us and asked us to mediate via Twitter... we didn't refuse... don't worry, the soup is on the way..."

However, it emerged that the photo Gökçek shared was taken during his own term as mayor.

Gökçek, who 'missed the mark' again, became the subject of ridicule on social media.

Social media users proved that the photo belonged to 2018 with a tweet posted at that time.
