Footage of students mocking a teacher in Ankara had emerged: Disciplinary investigation launched

Footage of students mocking their physics teacher, M.C. (61), at Kocatepe Mimar Kemal Anatolian High School in the Çankaya district of Ankara, spread rapidly on social media. The moments when the students mocked their teacher drew significant backlash. This situation prompted the school administration to take swift action.

DISCIPLINARY INVESTIGATION BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

Following the spread of the footage, the school administration launched a disciplinary investigation into the incident. While the school administration handled the students' behavior with seriousness, teacher M.C. stated that he wanted his students not to fall behind in their education and training process.

JUVENILE BRANCH TEAMS CONDUCTED AN INVESTIGATION

Regarding the incident, which took place approximately 20 days ago, teams from the Juvenile Branch Directorate of the Ankara Police Department also took action.

Police teams met with administrators at the school where the incident occurred and gathered the necessary information. The investigation by the Juvenile Branch Directorate into the students' behavior is ongoing.

PROVINCIAL DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL EDUCATION AT THE SCENE

Provincial Director of National Education Murat Küçükali went to the school to conduct inspections following the incident. Director Küçükali met with the school administration and teachers to receive information about what happened. At the same time, police teams left the school.

Following the incident, teacher M.C., who lost his balance and fell at school earlier this week, was taken to the hospital. The teacher, who received physical treatment, was discharged after his hospital care. The teacher stated that he did not file a complaint against his students, and he is currently on medical leave and continuing his treatment at home.
