Foreign Minister Fidan's assessment of the Russia-Ukraine meeting

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in a post on his social media account, stated, "We hosted the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

In the talks, which took place in a constructive atmosphere, the parties moved the issues they had agreed upon in the first meeting one step further. They reached an agreement on exchanges in new categories and in higher numbers regarding the humanitarian exchange title. 

The parties exchanged memoranda reflecting their perspectives on a ceasefire and peace. They found it appropriate to initiate technical-level work on these texts in the coming days. 

At the meeting, they also agreed to continue preparations for a meeting at the leaders' level.

It is gratifying to see the results-oriented approach displayed by the parties in the negotiations, which are shaped in line with the common will of our leaders, aimed at ending the losses caused by the war. I would like to thank both countries once again for the trust they have placed in Turkey during this historic process," he said.
