Foreign Ministry announces... Evacuation plan ready for Turks in Lebanon: 'Necessary preparations are underway'

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement regarding the evacuation of Turkish citizens currently in Lebanon.

The statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is as follows:

"There is a possibility that the security situation in Lebanon may deteriorate further.

In this context, planning regarding our citizens in Lebanon has been carried out in coordination with our relevant institutions, and alternative plans have been prepared for the evacuation of our citizens by sea or air.

A 'Ministry of Foreign Affairs Coordination and Support Center' has been established to manage the process. A delegation consisting of officials from our Ministry, the General Directorate of Security, and the Presidency of Migration Management is currently continuing its work on the ground.

Applications from our citizens who wish to register for potential inclusion in an evacuation are being collected through our Consular Call Center (+90 312 292 29 29), which operates 24 hours a day.

It is important for our citizens in Lebanon to closely follow the announcements of our Ministry and our Embassy in Beirut regarding any potential evacuation decision.

The principles regarding the evacuation of citizens of other countries through our country have also been determined, and necessary preparations are underway in coordination with nearly 20 countries that have requested support so far."
