Foreign Ministry ignores 'Public Savings Circular': 4 million TL spent on tires for vehicles
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has purchased tires worth a total of 4 million 95 thousand liras for 6 luxury vehicles, including armored cars. The 33 tires purchased for vehicles such as the Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes S680 Guard 4 Matic, and BMW 7.60i Protection xDrive Limousine are scheduled to be delivered within 2 months.
While Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has been calling for public savings, it has emerged that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made a 4 million lira tire purchase for the luxury vehicles in its inventory.
The Ministry purchased 33 tires for 6 vehicles, including armored cars.
According to the report by Deniz Ayhan from Sözcü, 4 million 95 thousand liras were paid for the tires purchased for luxury vehicles such as the Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes S680 Guard 4 Matic, and BMW 7.60i Protection xDrive Limousine (G73). The tires will be delivered to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within 2 months.
30 winter tires without rims and 3 summer tires with rims were purchased for the 6 vehicles.
