Former ministers among those injured: 8 people hurt in traffic accident
A multi-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the Sivrihisar district of Eskişehir, leaving a total of 8 people injured, including two former ministers. It was reported that the injured are not in life-threatening condition, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
The chain-reaction traffic accident that occurred in the evening hours in the Oğlakçı locality of Kaymaz Neighborhood was discovered after drivers passing through the area notified security forces. Upon the report, health and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Among those involved in the accident were former Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Atilla Koç and his daughter, former Minister of Family and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk. The two former ministers, who were slightly injured during the accident, were taken to a hospital in Ankara by ambulance. The other six injured individuals were taken under treatment at nearby hospitals.
Authorities announced that the health status of the injured citizens is good and that no life-threatening health issues were encountered following the incident.
It was stated that a detailed investigation into how the accident occurred is ongoing.
