Former police officer causes chaos in the city for the 3rd time with armed actions

Former police officer T.T. climbed onto the roof of a building and opened fire randomly with the weapon in his hand. The former police officer, who had also taken his girlfriend hostage in a separate incident last year, has been arrested and sent to prison for the 3rd time.

The incident occurred on March 5, 2024, on the roof of a building under construction located on Yağcılar Street.

The former police officer, identified as T.T. (49), who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and drugs, climbed onto the roof, fired his weapon randomly into the air, and shouted threats.

Upon notification, fire, medical, and numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene. Police teams both took extensive security measures in the area and attempted to persuade the individual.

POLICE PERSUADED HIM IN 4 HOURS

Within the framework of persuasion efforts that lasted approximately 4 hours, the individual surrendered and was taken into custody.

T.T., whose procedures at the police station were completed, was arrested by the judicial authorities he was brought before for the 'Crime of Armed Threat' and sent to prison.
