Formwork collapses at school construction site in Kütahya: 5 workers injured

In Kütahya, five workers were injured following a collapse that occurred while concrete was being poured at a construction site; one was treated at the scene, while four were taken to the hospital.

The collapse occurred in the formwork while concrete was being poured at the Abdurrahman Paşa Primary School construction site in the Mecidiye neighborhood.

The workers trapped under the formwork, Bayram Şakar, Recep Tunç, Recep Can, Hüseyin Çakar, and İbrahim Kayıoğlu, were injured.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health, fire department, and police teams were dispatched to the area. One of the injured, Şakar, received treatment in an ambulance at the scene. The other four workers were taken to hospitals in the city.

Governor Musa Işın, who conducted an inspection at the scene, received information from the authorities.

Işın stated that the workers taken to the hospital are not in life-threatening condition and announced that they have launched an investigation into the incident.
