Found dead on a roadside bench

At around 18:30, citizens who saw a person lying motionless on a bench on Gazi Boulevard in Antalya's Teomanpaşa Neighborhood called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report the situation.

Upon the notification, medical teams arrived at the scene and determined that the individual had passed away.

Following this, teams from the Antalya Police Department were dispatched to the scene.

The body of the individual, who had no identification on them and was suspected of being a substance user, was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death after the Crime Scene Investigation teams completed their work.

It was learned that shortly before passing away, the individual had gone to a nearby taxi stand and wanted to get into a taxi.

Taxi driver Yılmaz Şencan, who works at the taxi stand, said, “He came to the stand about 20-25 minutes ago and asked for a taxi. He was having trouble standing, so I didn't take him into the vehicle, thinking he might be a substance user. I looked as I was passing by just now and he had passed away. I was shocked too; it's a mortal world after all.”
