Frightening fire in Kocaeli: One citizen trapped!
A fire that broke out on the ground floor of a 5-story building in the İzmit district of Kocaeli has been extinguished. A woman trapped on the 3rd floor was rescued by fire crews.
The fire occurred in a 5-story building on Ceylan Street in the Mehmet Ali Paşa neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out on the ground floor for an unknown reason.
Rising smoke filled the building. Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the address. Fire crews entered from the ground floor and extinguished the fire.
A woman who was trapped on the 3rd floor due to the smoke filling the building was rescued via a telescopic ladder. It was reported that medical teams were present in the area as a precaution.
The police have launched an investigation into the fire.
