Absolute nullity case collapses: Gürsel Tekin speaks out after the ruling!
Following the dismissal of the potential absolute nullity ruling in the Ankara case, Gürsel Tekin made a statement, saying, "This is not a situation that concerns us; I am not interested."
The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance had removed CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik and his administration from office despite the Supreme Election Council (YSK) decision, and had appointed Gürsel Tekin as a trustee.
However, the court rejected the "absolute nullity" case on the grounds that the original lawsuit was unlawful.
"I CANNOT COMMENT ON THIS MATTER"
Following the court ruling in Ankara, Tekin made statements to Yeniçağ.
Stating that he would not comment on the case, Tekin said, "I am not in a position to make a comment regarding Ankara. Because it is not a situation that concerns us. I am continuing my duty here. I am not interested at all."
YARSAV President Ömer Faruk Eminağaoğlu made statements regarding the potential effects of the Ankara case on the Istanbul case. Eminağaoğlu stated that the Istanbul case has moved to the appellate stage and that the file will return to Ankara. Furthermore, expressing that a rejection decision was expected in the case, he said, "The decision rendered in Ankara will serve as evidence."
