AKP closes the gap with CHP in a poll conducted across 60 provinces! Nationalist party's vote share continues to rise...
Gündemar's year-end survey revealed that while the CHP maintains its lead, the AKP is closing the gap by increasing its vote share. The shift among nationalist voters and the rise of new parties emerged as the most notable headlines of the poll.
Gündemar Research and Consultancy shared the results of its comprehensive "Turkey Agenda" survey, which took the pulse of the electorate in the final days of 2025, with the public.
In the study conducted across 60 provinces between December 20-26, a total of 2,365 people were interviewed. The poll clearly presented the current vote distribution of the parties after the allocation of undecided voters.
CHP IN FIRST PLACE, AKP REDUCES THE GAP
The responses to the question posed to participants, "If there were a parliamentary election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?", revealed the shift in political balances.
According to the results, while the CHP remains in first place, it was observed that the AKP has reduced the gap.
While the CHP experienced a 1.61 percentage point loss compared to previous results, the AKP increased its votes by 1.22 percentage points.
VOTE SHIFTS ON THE NATIONALIST AND CONSERVATIVE FRONT
The most striking results of the research were seen in the behavior of nationalist and conservative voters.
In this area, the decline in the MHP and the rise of new parties were particularly noteworthy.
After the distribution of undecided voters, the ranked vote percentages of the parties were as follows:
CHP: 34.30%
AKP: 29.72%
DEM Party: 9.24%
Zafer Party: 5.36% (0.33 point decrease)
İYİ Party: 5.07% (0.06 point increase)
Anahtar Party: 4.81% (0.33 point increase)
MHP: 4.38% (0.66 point decrease)
New Welfare Party (YRP): 4.03%
Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP): 1.07%
ANAHTAR PARTY STANDS OUT
In the research, the fact that the Anahtar Party rose to the 4.81% level, surpassing the MHP and YRP, and also reached a point almost neck-and-neck with the İYİ Party, was among the notable developments.
