AKP's new transfer leaked from the corridors: 'There is another participation that will be as talked about as Özlem Çerçioğlu'

In addition to Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, it is being discussed that three district mayors from the city will also switch to the AKP.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel confirmed that Çerçioğlu would switch to the AKP and attacked AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with very harsh words. Özel spoke as follows:

They go to Özlem Çerçioğlu and say this: 'You have worked with Aziz İhsan Aktaş, either get thrown in jail or come and join my party.' That is all there is to it, friends. Özlem Çerçioğlu claimed she was innocent, and while there are so many brave men sitting in prison against this injustice, she could not show this bravery. Erdoğan is playing word games, asking 'How many Aydıns are there for tomorrow?' Man, you were kicked out of Aydın with kicks and punches on March 31. If it happens by saying 'either get thrown in jail or join my party' through Aziz İhsan Aktaş, what can I say to you? Is this bravery? Is this your fighting power in politics? Is this how you will take Aydın? I will take Aydın again next time. Did you have a single province left in the Aegean? I have taken Kilis, I have taken Kastamonu, I have taken Kırklareli, I have taken Kırıkkale. Is this how you will take Aydın? Shame on you.”

While Çerçioğlu's transfer to the AKP has become the focus of the political agenda, Korkusuz columnist Can Coşkun shared striking behind-the-scenes information in his article titled "Çerçioğlu would not have been able to be a candidate."

“SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE A CANDIDATE AGAIN ANYWAY…”

Coşkun recalled the statement, “The three-term rule will also be applied in the candidate determination process in local elections. Accordingly, a person will be able to be elected as a mayor, municipal or provincial general assembly member for a maximum of three consecutive terms. According to this rule, Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu would not have been able to be a candidate from the CHP again anyway,” and conveyed behind-the-scenes information regarding other transfers planned by the AKP.

Coşkun, who included information he obtained from AKP sources in his column, claimed that a "transfer operation following investigations" had begun and said, "The big claim is as follows: There is at least one more addition that will be talked about as much as Özlem Çerçioğlu."

Coşkun noted the following in his article titled "Çerçioğlu would not have been able to be a candidate":

A decision taken at the last congress of the Republican People's Party seems to have a direct effect on today's crisis.

Because according to the new charter adopted, a person can be elected as a member of parliament for a maximum of three consecutive terms. But this rule does not only cover members of parliament.

The three-term rule will also be applied in the candidate determination process in local elections. Accordingly, a person will be able to be elected as a mayor, municipal or provincial general assembly member for a maximum of three consecutive terms.

According to this rule, Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu would not have been able to be a candidate from the CHP again anyway.

THERE IS ALSO THE CIRCULAR ISSUE

In March, a circular was sent from the CHP to local administrations, and instructions were given to make some mandatory changes due to budget problems.

In the circular sent with the signature of Deputy Chairman Responsible for Local Administrations Gökan Zeybek, it was stated that it was not considered appropriate for municipal council members to take office in companies belonging to the municipality with titles such as "chairman of the board of directors," "general manager," or "member of the board of directors," and their resignation was requested by demanding budget savings.

Municipal officials in Aydın had resisted this instruction for a long time. One aspect of the reasons behind these mass transitions is this.

10 mayors were transferred, mostly from the New Welfare Party. Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) MP Serap Yazıcı, IYI Party MP Ünal Karaman, IYI Party MP Salim Ensarioğlu, and Akşener's former advisor Faruk Acar were transferred. So why did I remind you of these?
