While it is being discussed behind the scenes that the two will meet again this week, a surprise statement came from Aziz Yıldırım. It was claimed that Yıldırım requested one more signature than the 16,464 votes Ali Koç received in the 2024 election to formalize his candidacy. While this development was met with a reaction from the management side, it created a wave of morale in the opposition camp.

This move by Aziz Yıldırım also reignited the signature campaign, which had been stagnant for a long time. Opposition groups and some fan associations have begun to return to the field by increasing interest in the campaign.

According to the report by Sabah newspaper, signature collection efforts gained momentum following Aziz Yıldırım's statements, and the 12,000 threshold in the number of signatures has been exceeded. It is stated that some fan associations collecting the signatures will share them with Fenerbahçe High Council President Şekip Mosturoğlu this week.

Mosturoğlu is expected to make an official statement to the public after reviewing the incoming signatures. During this process, eyes are turned to the High Council on one hand, and locked on the potential response from Ali Koç on the other.
