Are working hours being reduced? Signal from the government for a flexible working model!

The government is preparing to implement a flexible working model it has been working on for a long time.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced the details of this new practice.

According to information in the Sabah newspaper, the flexible working model will focus on ensuring a balance between work and private life, thereby aiming to improve the quality of life for employees.

WHAT WILL THE DETAILS OF THE NEW MODEL BE?

In the new model, flexible working will be "secure" and the workload of employees will be reduced. While there are plans to shorten working hours, it is aimed at ensuring that women, in particular, participate more in the workforce and that they are able to set aside time for their private lives.

IT WILL DROP FROM 45 HOURS TO 40 HOURS

As part of the flexible working model, the weekly working time is expected to be reduced from the current 45 hours to 40 hours.

However, this practice will not be applied to all professional groups. In some areas, such as the manufacturing sector, the flexible working model will be implemented by taking into account the companies' needs for half-day or full-day operations.

In the first stage, the practice of shortening hours will come to the fore more.

The details of the flexible working model will be shaped in line with the needs of the business world and the expectations of employees. In this way, both the productivity of companies will be increased and employees will be enabled to set aside more time for themselves.
