Striking results have emerged from the latest public opinion survey conducted by the Ser-AR Research Company between July 24 and 26.

According to information shared by Ser-AR Research, the poll was conducted via telephone (CATI method) with 2,050 people across 26 provinces in Turkey. The confidence interval of the research was announced as 95 percent, with a margin of error of ±1.95 percent.

The responses to the question "Do you want an early election?" posed to citizens showed that the vast majority of the public wants elections to be held early.

While 69 percent of those who participated in the poll stated that an early election should be held, only 28 percent opposed this idea. The remaining 3 percent expressed that they were undecided.

The research results also revealed that the demand for an early election does not belong solely to opposition voters. Considering that the total vote share of the AKP and MHP has been hovering above 28 percent for a long time, it is understood that some voters who support the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) are also demanding that the ballot box be brought forward.

On the other hand, a possible presidential election scenario was also tested in the same research. The responses to the question "Which candidate would you vote for if an election were held today?" revealed that the opposition is ahead.

According to the poll, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu received 45 percent support, while the vote share of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan remained at 42.5 percent.

In another scenario, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş reached a vote share of 47.3 percent. In this scenario, Erdoğan remained at 41.7 percent.
