Bahçeli sets date for new initiative: Work begins
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will launch his Alevi initiative on October 11 from Hacıbektaş, Nevşehir. Bahçeli is expected to make significant statements at the opening.
It has been reported that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will launch his Alevi initiative on October 11, 2025, in the Hacıbektaş district of Nevşehir.
According to an article by journalist İsmail Saymaz on Halk TV, Bahçeli will inaugurate the cemevi and complex built on the land he donated to the Khorasan Erenleri Association Federation in Hacıbektaş. Important statements regarding the Alevi initiative are expected to be made at this opening.
A major event is being planned for October 11 for the opening of the land that Bahçeli purchased in Hacıbektaş and on which he had a cemevi and complex constructed. Saymaz stated that Bahçeli will deliver critical messages regarding the Alevi initiative at this opening.
"CANLARIN TÜRKÜSÜ" (BALLAD OF THE SOULS) COMPOSED
Bahçeli has taken another step in his relations with the Alevi community. Last month, Bahçeli, who hosted numerous Alevi visitors in his office, also had a folk song titled 'Canların Türküsü' composed.
The lyrics were written by Canfer Balçık, the music was composed by İsmail Altunsaray, and the piece was performed by Elif Buse Doğan. This folk song drew attention as a step symbolizing Bahçeli's approach to the Alevi community.
The MHP leader also visited prominent figures of the Alevi community. The CEM Foundation Board of Directors, Alevi-Bektashi Culture and Cemevi President Esma Ersin, Presidential Social and Youth Policies Board member Arif Ali Özzeybek, and Istanbul Deputy Doğan Demir visited Bahçeli in his office. Demir, who is of Alevi descent, had resigned from the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) to join the MHP.
