As part of the investigation into corruption allegations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), the house arrest decisions for Aziz İhsan Aktaş and İBB Presidential Advisor Ertan Yıldız, who benefited from effective remorse provisions, have been lifted.
Cem Küçük, a columnist for Türkiye Gazetesi known for his proximity to the government, stated that security measures have been taken for those who provided testimony during the process, saying, "Protection has been allocated to those who became confessors, primarily Aziz İhsan Aktaş."

A source said that 8 bodyguards were assigned to Aziz İhsan Aktaş by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. 8 bodyguards is a very serious figure."
