A claim that will dominate the agenda before the party congress case! '8 CHP mayors to switch to AKP'

As eyes in the CHP turn to the party congress case on September 15, political corridors have been stirred by a new claim.

The AKP, which suffered a defeat in the March 31 Local Elections, has transferred numerous municipalities won by the opposition since that date. Most recently, Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel joined the AKP.

Journalist Sinan Burhan stated in his assessment on tv100 that mayors would change their stance following the party congress case.

Burhan said that "3 CHP district mayors from Ankara, 4 from Konya, and one from Samsun are waiting to join the AKP."

Burhan used the following expressions in his speech:

"3 CHP district municipalities in Ankara are waiting to switch to the AK Party."

"The outcome of the case on September 15 is being awaited. Actions will be taken accordingly. Because the mayors are tired."

"In fact, let me tell you this: I know that 4 from Konya and a major district municipality from Samsun are waiting to switch to the AK Party."
