Criminal complaints against Melih Gökçek, who 'was not even called to testify': A masseuse was employed at the presidential residence
The criminal complaints filed by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş regarding the term of his predecessor, AKP member Melih Gökçek, have been obtained. It was learned that a Moldovan masseuse hired at Anket A.Ş. worked at the presidential residence and was sent back before Gökçek left office.
Following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on 'corruption' charges, the criminal complaints filed by ABB and IBB regarding the AKP era that have not been processed have come to the agenda.
ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş had stated regarding his predecessor, AKP's Melih Gökçek, that "Gökçek has not even been called to testify to this day." The 97 separate criminal complaints totaling 46 billion TL that Yavaş submitted to the prosecutor's office regarding the Gökçek era have been accessed.
According to the report by Sözcü, some of the criminal complaint files that have not been processed for 6 years are as follows:
PARKS AND MEDIANS
A loss of 576 million TL in the investigation into parks and medians, recreation areas, cemeteries, pools and ponds, and facilities that were tendered for 1.7 billion TL in 2015.
CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT
Irregularities in the purchase of vehicles that cost 7 million 375 thousand Euros (310 million TL).
SEĞMEN WATER
A loss of 48 million liras due to the sale of unusable factories belonging to Seğmen Su, a subsidiary of the municipality.
EXCAVATION WASTE
The municipality's excavation dumping site business was given to Osmanlıspor, of which his son Ahmet Gökçek was the founding president. While ABB and ANFA earned 4 million TL in 3 years, Osmanlıspor generated 150 million dollars in revenue, causing the municipality to suffer a loss.
TREATMENT PLANT
Authorization for a 536 million TL loan was obtained for the renovation of the Tatlar Treatment Plant, but the money was used for unrelated projects.
MOLDOVAN MASSEUSE
It was stated that during the Gökçek era, a Moldovan national masseuse hired at Anket A.Ş. worked at the presidential residence and was sent back before Gökçek left office.
