Crisis in FETÖ: Dissolution has begun within the organization
It is alleged that FETÖ has entered a management crisis with a 12-member Executive Committee following the death of its ringleader, Gülen. Conflicts of interest and financial difficulties are leading to the dissolution of the organization.
It has been claimed that the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) is facing a leadership struggle and management crises following the death of ringleader Fethullah Gülen.
Since the organization could not determine a successor to take over the leadership after Gülen, it formed a 12-member Executive Committee.
However, according to security sources, conflicts of interest and power struggles within this committee began shortly thereafter.
It has been learned that Abdullah Aymaz, Naci Tosun, Şerif Ali Tekalan, Barbaros Kocakurt, Mehmet Vehbi Yavuzlar, Cevdet Türkyolu, İsmet Aksoy, Muhammed Çetin, Ekrem Dumanlı, Said Kaya, Adem Kalaç, and Talip Büyük, who are members of the committee, are constantly experiencing disagreements in decision-making processes.
In particular, Abdullah Aymaz's assumption of a dominant role over the other members has created unrest within the organization.
FINANCIAL RESOURCE PROBLEMS HAVE DEEPENED
The leadership struggle and management crises have also caused the organization to experience serious difficulties in securing financial resources.
While Gülen was alive, decisions taken from a single center were finalized with his approval. However, decisions made during the Executive Committee period lead to long debates and disruptions.
It was stated that ringleader Gülen had requested changes such as "rejuvenation in management" and "increasing international representation" before he died, but the current committee chose to ignore these instructions to retain power.
EKREM DUMANLI REMAINED PASSIVE
Although Ekrem Dumanlı, the former Editor-in-Chief of FETÖ's closed Zaman newspaper, was one of the last names to join the Executive Committee, he is being criticized for drawing a passive profile within the organization. It is stated that Mustafa Özcan refused to join the committee, where Abdullah Aymaz and his team are influential.
It was stated that the appointments to be made for country representatives and other critical positions for the year 2025 within FETÖ have led to tensions in the Executive Committee.
While changes in the committee are planned for February 2025, the efforts of some members to appoint names close to them are further deepening the conflicts.
FETÖ is experiencing one of the greatest crises in its history with this leadership struggle and the disintegration at the grassroots level following ringleader Gülen.
