DEM Party makes a call in front of the Ministry of Health! 'Resign'

DEM Party deputies made a statement in front of the Ministry of Health regarding the "Newborn Gang," which is accused of causing the deaths of at least 12 babies.

Calling on Minister of Health Memişoğlu to resign, the deputies asked, "Were you sleeping in that seat while you were the Provincial Health Director?"

DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit described the events by saying, "We are experiencing horror."

Koçyiğit stated, "It is very important in terms of showing the extent of the decay and corruption. When the AKP government implemented its healthcare transformation policies, we frequently explained that its program was a destruction of healthcare, that public health would be liquidated, that public health would be instrumentalized and opened to the market, and that the public's right to health could not be protected in a system where hospitals became commercial enterprises and patients became customers."

'THE MINISTER OF HEALTH MUST RESIGN'

Arguing that the AKP's healthcare system views humans as commodities, Koçyiğit said, "As a result of that market-oriented mentality that sees the patient as a customer and the human as a commodity, 12 babies were murdered. Why was the life of 12 babies targeted just so someone could earn more money? Those who build large hospitals and spend public resources on city hospitals and guaranteed highways and bridges are responsible for this process. The AKP government is responsible for the loss of life and the murder of 12 babies. Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu is responsible for this massacre and must resign immediately."
