Prof. Dr. Naci Görür has announced the safest and most dangerous provinces in Turkey in terms of earthquakes. Which is the safest province in terms of earthquake risk? WHICH IS THE SAFEST PROVINCE IN AN EARTHQUAKE?

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür stated in his remarks on the Kafa TV YouTube channel that Ankara is the safest region in Turkey in terms of earthquakes. Prof. Dr. Görür said, "Ankara is a relatively safer place in Turkey. Because no fault line passes through it or very close to it."

WHICH IS THE MOST DANGEROUS REGION?

Stating that 15 active fault lines in and around İzmir have the potential to produce major earthquakes of magnitude 7, Prof. Dr. Görür noted that the delta regions in and around Bayraklı in İzmir have a weak soil structure and that these areas are the regions that will be most affected by earthquake waves.

Geophysics Engineer Prof. Dr. Övgün Ahmet Ercan also listed Turkey's most reliable provinces against earthquakes in a post on his social media account as follows: Kırklareli, Zonguldak, Kastamonu, Sinop, Samsun, Giresun, Ordu, Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, Mardin, Siirt, Batman, Şanlıurfa, Mersin, Antalya, Konya, Karaman, Niğde, Nevşehir, Ankara.

HIGH RISK IN 24 CITIES

The Chamber of Geological Engineers had also examined the 24 provinces threatened by fault lines. The provinces where earthquakes of magnitude 7 or higher are expected were listed as follows:
