Erdoğan prepares for a 'major revision': Names expected to change in the Cabinet and those whose 'positions are secure' have emerged!
Journalist Sedat Bozkurt shared striking inside information in his column today, stating, "The AK Party is conducting a serious operation within its organizations." Bozkurt detailed the possible revision, using the phrase, "Erdoğan is preparing for changes among the ministers."
Claims that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will carry out a cabinet revision have returned to the agenda. With the majority of ministers having completed two and a half years in office, expectations for a "cabinet change" are growing stronger behind the scenes.
Kısa Dalga columnist Sedat Bozkurt made striking assessments in his column regarding potential changes in the government. Reminding that the most senior name in the cabinet, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, has been in office for seven years, Bozkurt stated, "Except for one, all the ministers have completed two and a half years. In other words, half of the time between two elections has passed. Here is a good reason for a cabinet change for you."
"THERE IS A SERIOUS OPERATION IN AK PARTY ORGANIZATIONS"
Bozkurt wrote that there is a preparation for a comprehensive change not only in the cabinet but also in the organizational structure of the party:
"The AKP is conducting a serious operation in its organizations. This is Erdoğan's style. He does this from time to time to bring dynamism to the organizations. This is the method he used with various mayors before the 2019 local elections. In other words, the practice of dismissing or forcing resignations in organizations is an Erdoğan routine. They all have a reason, even if it is different, but this is not voiced. Just like with the mayors themselves.
Erdoğan is also preparing for changes among the ministers. The gossip is serious this time. Probably even his Chief of Staff Hasan Doğan, who knows 'everything,' does not know which ministers will be changed. But those in his circle who know Erdoğan closely through some of his attitudes and comments can make predictions."
"IT IS CONSIDERED CERTAIN THAT THREE MINISTERS WILL BE CHANGED"
Bozkurt stated that it is considered "certain" that three names will lose their seats in the cabinet. Accordingly, it was suggested that Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, and Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan could be dismissed.
Bozkurt also listed the "ministers who cannot be changed":
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin.
"MINISTERS OF JUSTICE AND INTERIOR MAY ALSO CHANGE"
Bozkurt also noted that the cabinet revision might not be limited to these three names:
"One should not be surprised if the Ministers of Justice and Interior change. The decree on governors prepared by Ali Yerlikaya is still pending. It is no secret that there is 'stress' between the MHP wing and Yerlikaya. Perhaps Yerlikaya could be changed as a 'gesture' to the MHP wing."
According to Bozkurt, the MHP's moves in the judicial field also strengthen the ground for this possible change. He stated, "It is doing this by stealing roles from the opposition. There may be various reasons for this. One of them is definitely to become effective in the judicial bureaucracy. Things work like a 'coalition' there. For Erdoğan, the importance of justice ministers comes after chief public prosecutors. Especially in every period, the Istanbul chief public prosecutor is more valuable than the justice ministers."
Bozkurt also emphasized that the newly appointed ministers will most likely be from outside the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM): "Erdoğan needs numerical majority there; both at the stage of an early election decision and, if possible, in a constitutional amendment."
