Erdoğan's 'historic' statement leads to a 'process alliance': What are the vote percentages for AKP, MHP, and DEM Party?
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that they are opening a 'new page' regarding the new reconciliation process, saying, 'The AK Party, MHP, and DEM Party have decided to walk together; we will provide every kind of convenience to those who take a step, and we will open the door wide for those seeking a way out.' Pi-ar Research shared the results of its general election poll conducted between July 7-9. The vote percentages for the AKP, MHP, and DEM Party have become clear.
As part of the new resolution process, a group of PKK terrorists laid down their arms and set them on fire in a symbolic 'ceremony' on July 11. AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made evaluations regarding the new process yesterday at his party's consultation and evaluation meeting in Kızılcahamam.
'PROCESS ALLIANCE' EMERGES FROM 'HISTORIC' STATEMENT
Erdoğan, who was previously said to be making a 'historic' statement, said, 'We will cook this process and carry it into the future with the AK Party, MHP, and the DEM delegation, God willing. Our noble nation should rejoice and celebrate this picture; every street and household in Turkey should be adorned with our crescent-and-star flag. We have decided to walk this path together, at least as a trio: the AK Party, MHP, and DEM Party. We have a concern. Since we have a concern and have joined hands, we will overcome these obstacles.'
Pervin Buldan, a member of the DEM Party Imralı Delegation who conducted meetings with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan during the new resolution process, stated, 'It should not be misinterpreted. This alliance is a process alliance. It should definitely not be perceived as any other type of alliance. Everyone's line and the path they follow are clear. Of course, we as the DEM Party are at the very center of this process. But it is the People's Alliance that needs to resolve it.'
Following these statements by Erdoğan, the vote shares of the parties became a subject of curiosity. Pi-Ar Research conducted a general election poll with 3,160 people in 26 provinces between July 7-9. In the poll, participants were asked, 'If there were an election this Sunday, which party would you vote for?'
The CHP ranked as the leading party with 32.5 percent.
The AKP is the second party with 30.2 percent.
The MHP is in third place with 8.6 percent.
The DEM Party's vote share was measured at 7.7 percent.
According to the poll, while the CHP ranked first with 32.5 percent, the total vote share of the AK Party, MHP, and DEM Party alliance was 46.5 percent.
The vote shares of the other parties were as follows:
Zafer Party: 5.1 percent
İYİ Party: 4.6 percent
YRP: 3.8 percent
YMP: 1.5 percent
Saadet Party: 1.4 percent
TİP: 1.2 percent
DEVA Party: 0.8 percent
Other: 2.6 percent
