According to the latest survey by Sonar Research, the majority of participants find the government's approach regarding the removal or arrest of CHP mayors to be wrong.
Sonar Research company has announced the results of a survey conducted via telephone with 2,106 people.
The survey specifically questioned the government's stance during the recent process of removing or arresting CHP mayors, and whether investigations into government and opposition municipalities are being conducted in an equal and fair manner.
TWO CRITICAL QUESTIONS ASKED IN THE SURVEY
Within the scope of the research, participants were asked two fundamental questions. First, they were asked, "Do you find the government's approach to the recent process of removing or arresting some CHP mayors to be correct?"
Secondly, the question was asked, "Do you think the audits and investigations conducted into municipalities belonging to the government and the opposition are carried out in an equal and fair manner?"
GOVERNMENT'S STANCE FOUND TO BE WRONG
According to the survey results, 57.1 percent of participants find the government's approach regarding the removal or arrest of CHP mayors to be wrong. Only 27.5 percent of participants evaluated the government's stance in this process as correct.
Regarding the question of whether audits and investigations into government and opposition municipalities are conducted in an equal and fair manner, 63.2 percent of participants stated that the investigations and audits are carried out in a biased manner.
Another striking finding in the survey emerged from the responses given by participants according to their party preferences.
Regarding whether the investigations and audits are fair, 88.7 percent of CHP voters answered "no, they are not." Only 35.3 percent of AKP voters shared the same view on this issue. Additionally, 15.3 percent of AKP voters remained undecided on the matter.
STRIKING DIFFERENCES AMONG MHP AND DEM PARTY VOTERS
86.4 percent of DEM Party voters expressed the view that the investigations conducted against government and opposition municipalities are not equal and fair. Among MHP voters, this rate was observed to be 44.8 percent. 13.4 percent of MHP voters remained undecided on this issue.
