Fatih Altaylı's 'Kobani' commentary: 'If the resolution process had continued...'
Journalist Fatih Altaylı commented on the Kobani trial in his column today. Altaylı argued that if the 'Solution Process' had continued, the Kobani trial would not have taken place.
Journalist Fatih Altaylı shared his assessments regarding the Kobani trial in his column today.
Altaylı stated that the Kobani case is conjunctural, saying, "In 2014, that is, at the time the Kobani incidents occurred, the 'Opening Process' or 'Resolution Process' was being carried out..."
Altaylı also stated the following:
"In those days, it was not within the capacity of any brave prosecutor to open a case like the Kobani Case. Anyone who would say, 'Hey, a crime is being committed here,' would immediately be declared a traitor. Because those were the days when Hilal Kaplan and her likes were shouting 'yellow, red, green' on their social media."
Altaylı further argued that if the Solution Process had not caused the AKP to lose votes, such a lawsuit would not exist.
Altaylı finally stated, "When the AKP saw that the peace process was causing it to lose votes, these lawsuits emerged. The issue is that simple."
