Ferdi Tayfur fan Talha Siraç Ünlü arrested

Following the death of Ferdi Tayfur, who passed away yesterday evening at the hospital where he was receiving treatment in Antalya, Talha Siraç Ünlü, who had come to the public's attention due to his admiration for and resemblance to the famous artist, was taken into custody.

TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT NIGHT AFTER QURAN VIDEO

Upon the circulation of footage on social media platforms showing Talha Siraç Ünlü stepping on and then sitting on the Quran, Antalya Police Department teams took the youth into custody at his residence during the night hours.

STATEMENT FROM THE ANTALYA POLICE DEPARTMENT

In the statement made, it was reported that Ünlü had been apprehended and taken into custody.

The aforementioned statement included the following remarks:

"Following the appearance of posts on some social media accounts on 03.01.2025 titled 'T.S.Ü., a fan of Ferdi TAYFUR, both sat on and stepped on the Holy Quran upon the death of Ferdi TAYFUR', it has been deemed necessary to make the following statement."

ARRESTED

Talha Siraç Ünlü, who was taken into custody by the Antalya Police Department Security Branch teams for the crime of "insulting religious values," was taken to the Juvenile Branch Directorate.

After his statement procedures there, Talha Siraç Ünlü was brought to the courthouse, arrested, and sent to prison.

On the other hand, it has not been clarified whether the video that led to Ünlü's arrest is recent or from an earlier date.
