The final conversation between Şevval, who jumped from the 12th floor, and her father has emerged! He had said 'Don't jump'

The fire at the 12-story Grand Kartal Hotel in the Bolu Kartalkaya Kazak Center, which claimed the lives of 78 people, has plunged Turkey into mourning.

Şevval Şahin, who jumped from the 12th floor of the hotel to escape the flames, passed away in the intensive care unit where she was being treated at the Abant Izzet Baysal University Training and Research Hospital.

LAID TO REST

The body of Şevval, who had reportedly started working as a waitress at the hotel 1.5 months ago, was brought to Bartın this morning.

Şevval Şahin was brought to her home on Aydınlık Street in the Demirciler neighborhood of Bartın for the final time, where the Quran was recited and prayers were offered.

Following the final farewell, Şahin will be buried in the family cemetery at Halatçıyaması Cemetery after the funeral prayer to be held at the Şadırvan Mosque following the noon prayer.

FINAL CONVERSATION WITH HER FATHER REVEALED

In addition to Amasra Mayor Recai Çakır, Şevval Şahin's relatives, loved ones, and friends attended the funeral ceremony. The final conversation between Şevval, who reportedly made the decision to jump from the 12th floor during a phone call with her father, has been revealed.

Şevval Şahin's cousin, Murat Bakır, said, "That night, Şevval called her father and asked, 'Dad, what should I do?' Her father said, 'Don't jump, my daughter.' Then, after talking for 10 minutes, the call was cut off. Her friends who were with her also passed away. It is a very painful event."
