First poll after the nullity ruling: New party scenario changes the top spot
The results of the first election survey regarding how political balances will be shaped following the absolute nullity ruling from the judiciary have been published. The poll measured both the current landscape and the distribution of votes in a scenario where Özgür Özel, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Mansur Yavaş leave the CHP to form a new party.
While developments following the absolute nullity ruling in Turkey and potential political scenarios continue to be discussed, a study has been conducted on how voter preferences would be shaped in a possible election.
According to the poll conducted by GÜNDEMAR Research between May 24-27, 2026, with 2 thousand 275 people in 60 provinces, the vote shares of the parties if an election were held this Sunday are as follows:
CHP: 31.90 percent
AKP: 28.09 percent
DEM Party: 8.42 percent
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 6.53 percent
İYİ Party: 6.25 percent
MHP: 6.05 percent
Anahtar Party: 4.16 percent
New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi): 3.47 percent
TİP: 1.51 percent
Other parties: 3.62 percent
NEW PARTY SCENARIO ALSO MEASURED
In the research, the possibility of a new party, which came to the agenda following the absolute nullity ruling, was also asked to voters. Participants were asked to state their preferences in the event that Özgür Özel, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Mansur Yavaş leave the CHP to form a new political entity. The results that emerged in this scenario were as follows:
New Party: 35.65 percent
AKP: 28.79 percent
DEM Party: 7.32 percent
CHP: 5.61 percent
MHP: 5.15 percent
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 4.66 percent
