Footage of Atatürk's 1927 serial photo shoot emerges: Found in a documentary

Previously unseen footage of the series of photos taken of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk at a photography studio in Istanbul during his presidency has emerged.

The footage in question was discovered by university student Ali Taner Tümer, who archives little-known or never-before-seen moments of Atatürk.

FOUND IN A DOCUMENTARY FROM THE 1950S

Tümer identified the video footage of this 1927 photo shoot in an old Atatürk documentary, believed to have been prepared in the 1950s and broadcast on a television channel that no longer exists.

While details about the documentary remain unavailable, Tümer believes that only a few seconds of the footage have been shared, but a longer version may exist in the archives.

Stating that the footage was recorded after Atatürk's arrival in Istanbul on July 1, 1927, Tümer said that these shots were taken in a photo studio and that a short video film of Atatürk was also recorded at that time.

Tümer said, "I noticed that these images had not been shared with the correct date and description until now. The video matches the photos in question perfectly. Even the handkerchief in Atatürk's pocket confirms this match."

FROM THE EARLY YEARS OF HIS PRESIDENCY

Tümer stated that the footage was filmed at the very beginning of Atatürk's presidency, specifically in its third year.
