As the AKP accelerates legal preparations for this regulation, it has begun to identify market needs through meetings held with employers and non-governmental organizations.

According to a report by Ekonomi Gazetesi, AKP sources stated, "Flexible working does not mean a reduction in working hours. No such regulation will be made for public employees. The new model will only cover specific professional groups and will be implemented in accordance with the needs of the employees."

FOUR DIFFERENT MODELS ARE BEING CONSIDERED

Four different models are on the agenda, including remote work, part-time work, variable-time work, and work for academic training purposes.

Young people operating particularly in digital fields, software developers, certain engineering branches, and academic staff in the education sector will be able to benefit from this regulation.

WHICH PROFESSIONS WILL FLEXIBLE WORKING COVER?

The new model is being shaped in accordance with the requirements of the era. In addition to professions on the verge of disappearing, those working in digital fields, intermediate staff in the textile and manufacturing sectors, academic researchers, and software developers will be able to benefit from the regulation. However, labor-intensive job fields will not be included in this scope.

WORKING HOURS WILL NOT CHANGE

Bad news has arrived for millions of employees expecting a reduction in working hours. The flexible working model will cover those working in part-time or short-term jobs instead of full-time. The new regulation will be shaped according to individual needs, not for the general public.
