Holiday news from IMM: Public transport free for 4 days
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is offering free public transport to holders of personalized Istanbulkarts throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday. IETT, Metro Istanbul, and City Lines will provide uninterrupted service with additional trips.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has announced that personalized Istanbulkart holders will be able to use public transport services belonging to the IMM free of charge throughout Eid al-Adha.
BETWEEN WHICH DATES IS PUBLIC TRANSPORT FREE IN ISTANBUL?
According to the statement made by the IMM, preparations have been completed to ensure that Istanbul residents do not experience any disruptions during Eid al-Adha.
Personalized Istanbulkart holders will be able to use public transport vehicles belonging to the IMM free of charge between June 16-19, which covers the holiday.
WHICH PUBLIC TRANSPORT VEHICLES ARE FREE?
IETT, Metro İstanbul, and City Lines will add extra trips when necessary. Additionally, City Lines will operate night services on the Kadıköy-Karaköy-Beşiktaş line on the nights of June 16 and June 17.
Metro İstanbul will also implement night metro services on the M1A, M1B, M2, M4, M5, M6, and M7 lines on the nights connecting Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday. Metro İstanbul will serve with a total of 9,479 employees throughout the holiday.
