Hospital statement on Sırrı Süreyya Önder's health: Life-threatening condition continues
The health condition of DEM Party member Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who clung to life following a 12-hour major surgery after suffering a heart attack, remains serious. Another statement has been issued by the hospital regarding Önder's health status.
Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and DEM Party Istanbul MP, who suffered a heart attack in recent days, was rushed to the hospital on the evening of April 15 and underwent emergency surgery.
Önder's health condition is being closely monitored after he was admitted to the intensive care unit following the 12-hour critical surgery.
A new update was provided this morning for Önder, whose treatment continues in the hospital's intensive care unit.
In the statement made by hospital officials, it was noted that Önder's general health status remains the same as yesterday and that the critical process is ongoing.
12-HOUR OPERATION
It was stated that a comprehensive surgical intervention was performed on Önder due to severe blockages in his coronary arteries after he was taken into emergency surgery following his heart attack.
