Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to hire 1,532 civil servants! What are the requirements and how to apply?

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has announced that it will hire a total of 1,532 civil servants. The positions to be filled include firefighters, municipal police officers, and other roles.

According to the statement made by the IMM, it was stated that recruitment will be carried out for 785 firefighter positions, 315 municipal police officer positions, and 432 civil servant positions in other titles.

In the statement, which noted that applications will be made via e-Devlet between February 10 and 16, it was emphasized that candidates can only apply for one position.

The statement indicated that candidates will be ranked according to their Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) scores, and that for each title, five times the number of vacant positions will be invited to the exam.

The statement included the following:

"Firefighter and municipal police officer candidates will participate in written and practical exams. Before the practical exam, candidates' height and weight will be measured. Those who do not meet the requirements will not be admitted to the exam, and legal action will be initiated against candidates who provide false declarations.

Applications made with incomplete or incorrect information will not be processed. The list of those who will participate in the exam will be announced on the official website of the IMM on February 24, 2025. Candidates will be able to access their exam entry documents via e-Devlet."
