Illegal betting scandal on social media: 3 influencers detained
In Istanbul, 3 people who advertised illegal betting sites on social media accounts with high follower counts have been detained. During a simultaneous operation, 3 out of 7 suspects were apprehended, while efforts to locate the 4 fugitives are ongoing.
It was determined that illegal betting sites were being advertised on certain social media accounts belonging to influencers with large followings.
A simultaneous operation was carried out during the day in Istanbul to apprehend 7 suspects.
During the operation, 3 individuals named Elanur Bulut, Salim Çato, and Zeynep Buse Korkmaz were detained, while it was learned that efforts to capture the 4 fugitive suspects are continuing.
It was reported that the detained suspects will be referred to the Çağlayan Courthouse.
