Knife-wielding posts of nurse who tortured 5-day-old baby emerge

The incident at a private hospital in Kahramanmaraş has come to light through security camera footage included in the case file. The moments when nurse Hazal Dırık, who was working in the neonatal unit, abused 5-day-old baby Deniz were recorded second by second.

14 MINUTES OF VIOLENCE

According to the footage, nurse Hazal Dırık took the baby out of the incubator under the pretext of drawing blood. The cameras captured her repeatedly hitting the baby's head, pulling and squeezing the crying child's leg violently, during which the bones were broken.

It was determined that the baby, whose left leg remained immobile, was writhing in pain, and despite what happened, the incident was not reported to any authority at that time.

HIDDEN FROM THE FAMILY FOR 3 YEARS

Following the incident, the nurse was fired, but the Bozoklar couple was not informed that their child had been subjected to violence. Instead, the baby was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy.

The family learned the truth 3 years later, in 2024, when they saw a notification on e-Devlet regarding an "intentional injury case" that had been filed.

A lawsuit has been filed against the defendant nurse Hazal Dırık, seeking up to 3 years in prison. The family's lawyer, Sait Bolat, announced that the footage has been added to the file and that they are demanding a trial for a more serious crime, arguing that what happened was not simple assault.

Bolat stated that the crime of "attempted murder" should be considered within the scope of the case.

While the investigation continues, it has emerged that the nurse who abused the 5-day-old baby is Hazal Dırık and that she had shared images featuring knives on her social media accounts.
