Lawyers clash in Narin Güran murder case! Allegations of 'forged signature' and 'pressure'

The hearing for the case regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır will be held on December 26.

It is not yet clear whether a verdict will be reached at the hearing, which will take place two weeks after the prosecutor requested aggravated life imprisonment for the four defendants.

Days before the hearing, another development occurred, and the defense attorneys began arguing on social media by raising new allegations.

177 CALLS

Onur Akdağ, the lawyer for uncle Salim Güran, shared the phone traffic between Nevzat Bahtiyar and A.B., the sister of Bahtiyar's wife, on his X account, claiming that there were a total of 177 calls and missed call records between the two individuals in the 4-month period before the murder.

Akdağ stated, "When we examine the communication records sent to the file by the BTK (Information and Communication Technologies Authority), we see that Nevzat does not even have this many call records with his own brother! It seems that what Nevzat has actually experienced is reflected in his own mind as a slander he cast upon Salim and Yüksel..."

BAHTİYAR'S LAWYER: WHAT HE EXPERIENCED HIMSELF...

Adnan Ateş, the lawyer for Nevzat Bahtiyar, responded to this post by Akdağ as follows:

"The allegation that my client Nevzat Bahtiyar spoke with the wife of his brother Mehmet Bahtiyar does not reflect the truth.

The GSM line registered in the name of A.B. is used by her husband Mehmet Bahtiyar, and the alleged calls are those made between Nevzat and his brother Mehmet.

Therefore, there is no action that my client Nevzat Bahtiyar experienced himself and projected onto the other party."

Upon this, Akdağ retorted, “Nevzat Bahtiyar also has 158 calls with his brother Mehmet Bahtiyar in the same time frame. Are you now claiming that Mehmet Bahtiyar uses two lines? Are you claiming that he uses both his wife's line and his own line separately?”

'THE CASE IS OVER, IT'S OVER'

Bahtiyar's lawyer Ali Eryılmaz posted, "We have filed our complaint with the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, claiming that the signatures in the Base Station Overlap Report are different even to the naked eye, and that this issue raises serious doubts that the signatures may be forged and therefore contains elements of a crime. The matter has now been completely referred to the judiciary."

In another post, Eryılmaz said: "Honestly, they are experiencing a mental block. You would think they have no news about the case file! The case is over, it's over! The court is no longer asking you for evidence!

It says you will make your final defense! It says I will give a verdict! The gentlemen have made a new request to the court. They want to count steps from a mobile phone... You have already fallen into very ridiculous situations, at least stop embarrassing yourselves now."

Onur Akdağ's response was as follows:

"The lawyer has forgotten that he did not stand behind his own tweets and deleted them because he could not withstand the slightest pressure, and that he restricted the others; he has also disregarded the gentleman's agreement we made by abandoning professionalism and is attacking us for the 3rd time. We do not have a 'reverse gear' like you. Challenge accepted."
