Malazgirt celebration turns into AKP rally: Students taken to Erdoğan's rally in exchange for 300 TL and breakfast
Participation was made mandatory for public personnel for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's program in Malazgirt, Muş. It was noted that students at youth centers were called with the promise of "breakfast and a 300 TL allowance."
President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan will meet with citizens today in Malazgirt, Muş, as part of the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Malazgirt. Notable steps were taken by state institutions to ensure that the program, which was announced as a "meeting," would take on the atmosphere of a rally.
OFFICIAL LETTER TO CIVIL SERVANTS: PARTICIPATION MANDATORY
In an official letter sent to public institutions in Muş and surrounding provinces, it was stated that the participation of all personnel in the program is mandatory. The letter included the following statements:
"Regarding the program to be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with the participation of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, I request that the necessary coordination be provided by unit supervisors... and that all personnel (excluding those on duty) participate and that this be monitored."
Thus, civil servants were made obligated to attend Erdoğan's Malazgirt program.
INVITATION TO STUDENTS: "BREAKFAST AND 300 TL ALLOWANCE"
Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports also issued a call to students for the program. According to the report by İsmail Arı from Birgün, messages sent to middle and high school students attending courses at youth centers stated, "We will go to Malazgirt for the Malazgirt program. Parents need to come to the institution for student permission forms. Breakfast and a 300 TL allowance will be provided for each student."
