As the drug investigation that led to the arrest of Mehmet Akif Ersoy continues, witness testimonies continue to dominate the agenda.

Statements regarding Ersoy, who was detained by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command and arrested on charges of “purchasing, using, and possessing narcotic substances, and providing a place and opportunity for drug use,” could affect the course of the investigation.

WITNESS ACCUSES MEHMET AKIF ERSOY

According to a report by the Sabah newspaper, a witness within the scope of the investigation made striking allegations regarding Mehmet Akif Ersoy. The witness stated that Ersoy introduced them to people in an environment where drugs were being used.

According to the witness's statement, Ersoy, who facilitated their meeting with Dilara Y., contacted the witness while they were at home with Ebru A. and Gülan, and stated that a girl liked them.

The witness stated that drug use took place in the environment in question and that Ersoy constantly pulled them into such environments. The witness said, "Although I kept saying that I was uncomfortable with these environments, Akif constantly persuaded me, either himself or through the girls around us, and forced me into these settings."

Stating that they received psychological support to forget the events they experienced, the witness also added that they underwent psychoacupuncture treatment.
