According to the statement made by the Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center of the 1st Regional Directorate of Meteorology, the western parts of the Marmara region are expected to come under the influence of the rainy system.

The precipitation expected after noon on Sunday is forecast to be heavy rain and downpours in Edirne, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ in the Thrace region, turning into heavy sleet and snow in higher altitudes over time, and local heavy downpours in Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Yalova.

ALARM FOR 13 PROVINCES

The 13 provinces for which a "yellow" alert has been issued by the Meteorology department are as follows: Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Kocaeli, Aydın, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Edirne, Kırklareli, Manisa, Muğla, Tekirdağ, and Yalova.

One province highlighted by the Meteorology department was Bursa. While a "yellow" warning was issued for Bursa for Sunday, the following statements were included in the warning, which is expected to start at 14:00 and last until 21:00 on Monday:

"Since heavy (21-50 kg/m2) rain and thunderstorms are expected, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against negative consequences such as floods, water damage, lightning, strong winds, and disruptions in transportation."

In Aydın, the Meteorology department warned that heavy rainfall would be effective, and it is estimated that the precipitation will be approximately 21 to 50 kilograms per square meter in all districts of Aydın.

Furthermore, the General Directorate of Meteorology issued a warning for heavy rain in the Marmara and Coastal Aegean regions and a storm warning for the North Aegean.
