Request for investigation permit against Mansur Yavaş... He revealed the real target!

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has announced a flash development in the ongoing investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. According to information obtained from prosecution sources, an investigation permit has been requested from the Ministry of Interior for Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and Chief of Staff Nevzat Uzunoğlu for the crimes of “misconduct in office” and “neglect of supervisory duty” within the scope of the investigation initiated.

CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel reacted sharply to the request for an investigation permit in a post on his social media account. Stating that they stand with Mansur Yavaş, Yücel said, "We stand with our Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş. If you think you can make our mayors and the Republican People's Party take a step back by fabricating legal justifications for your political conspiracies, you are mistaken."

In his statement on social media, Deniz Yücel emphasized that the investigation permit in question is actually directed not at Mansur Yavaş, but at the will of the people of Ankara. Yücel said, "While those who sold Ankara parcel by parcel are not even called to testify, an investigation permit is being requested for a mayor who received the votes of 6 out of 10 people in Ankara on March 31, and for the very service provided to Ankara and the people of Ankara."

In his statement, Yücel reminded that Mansur Yavaş emerged before the public with a social municipalism approach after rescuing Ankara from the 23-year Melih Gökçek administration. Yavaş's successful management and services to the public were targeted by the investigation permit announced by pro-government media.

The CHP Spokesperson stated, “This investigation permit is not against Mansur Yavaş, but against the will of the people of Ankara. This investigation permit is against the social assistance provided to retirees, coal assistance, meat support provided to tables that do not see meat even on holidays, and the bowl of hot soup a student drinks,” indicating that the investigation permit is actually an intervention in the welfare of the public.

In his statement, Yücel emphasized that they stand with Mansur Yavaş, who does not compromise on transparency and honesty, and that the CHP and Yavaş will not take a step back from this process.
