Second-round poll from ASAL Research: Only one name leaves Erdoğan behind! Is it İmamoğlu, Yavaş, or Özel?

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had announced that if the candidacy of the imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu were to be blocked, they would decide on the most appropriate candidate. When asked, “Are you the candidate?”, Özel replied, “I am not a candidate.”

ASAL Research Company conducted a new public opinion survey between July 7-13 with 1,985 people across 26 provinces. In the survey, participants were asked about potential second-round scenarios in the presidential election. The vote share of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan against different candidates was measured.

In the scenario where CHP leader Özgür Özel, the imprisoned Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş compete against Erdoğan, the fact that undecided voters range between 17% and 23% shows that they could directly affect the outcome of the second round.

The results of the survey, where undecided voters stand out, are as follows:

In the potential scenario where CHP leader Özgür Özel competes against Erdoğan, the results are as follows:

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 43.0%

Özgür Özel: 34.2%

Undecided/No opinion: 22.8%

İMAMOĞLU BEHIND ERDOĞAN

CHP's presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri Prison, also remained behind AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 41.6%

Ekrem İmamoğlu: 39.0%

Undecided/No opinion: 19.4%

YAVAŞ AHEAD OF ERDOĞAN

The only name to leave Erdoğan behind was Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş.

Mansur Yavaş: 44.0%

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: 38.4%

Undecided/No opinion: 17.6%
