Striking claim from Fatih Altaylı regarding the AKP's next move! CHP deputies are the target
Journalist Fatih Altaylı, in a letter sent through his lawyers on the 96th day of his detention, put forward remarkable claims regarding the AKP's next move toward the CHP.
Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who was arrested and sent to Silivri Prison on charges of threatening the President, continues to send his notes from prison to his “YORUMLAYAMIYOR” program on his YouTube channel.
Altaylı, who has been detained for 96 days, addressed the lawsuits concerning the CHP's party congress in a letter sent through his lawyers and revealed the AKP's next move.
Altaylı pointed to the calls coming from government circles in recent days. He recalled that Orhan Miroğlu, Savcı Sayan, Cem Küçük, and former AKP deputy Hüseyin Kocabıyık have made statements suggesting that these lawsuits should be dropped.
Altaylı drew attention to this by saying, “These four names have suggested in the last two days that the desire to design the CHP through these lawsuits should be abandoned.”
EMPHASIS ON “NO STEP BACK”
However, expressing the view that the government will not take a step back, Altaylı stated that steps could be taken to lift the parliamentary immunity of CHP deputies after the Parliament reconvenes. Altaylı used the following expressions in his letter:
“Could the government have lost hope in these lawsuits? Let me answer that question too. There is such an atmosphere, but those creating this atmosphere are three AKP members: Orhan Miroğlu, Savcı Sayan, Cem Küçük, and former AKP member Hüseyin Kocabıyık.
Mr. Hüseyin is no longer an AKP member, but he also represents the conscientious segment that still exists within the AKP. These four names have suggested in the last two days that the desire to design the CHP through these lawsuits should be abandoned. I do not know if this will affect the party's policy.
The party management will look at the polls. They will look at how these actions are reflected in the votes. However, the government will not give up on dealing with the CHP or its efforts to design it.
I think there will be a move to lift the immunities of CHP members after the Parliament opens.
The government has entered a path of its own choosing on this matter. It will not, and cannot, turn back from there now. That is how it appears.
Even the decision to stop the Istanbul provincial congress provides enough information about the future, but thank God the Supreme Election Council (YSK) says that the court in Istanbul made a decision contrary to the Constitution.”
