Striking claims from father Arif Güran in the Narin murder case: He points definitively to that name

The veil of mystery surrounding the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 1.5 kilometers from her home 19 days after she went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe Village, located in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, continues to persist.

In the investigation initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Public Prosecutor requested aggravated life imprisonment in the opinion submitted to the 8th High Criminal Court in the case opened against mother Yüksel Güran, brother Enes Güran, uncle Salim Güran, and Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to burying the little girl's lifeless body in the creek.

Shortly before the hearing where a verdict is expected, father Arif Güran spoke to SABAH.

"A DETAILED INVESTIGATION SHOULD BE CONDUCTED IN NEVZAT'S BARN"

Evaluating the Public Prosecutor's opinion on the case for the first time to SABAH, father Arif Güran said, "We have fought this legal battle so much, it all turned out to be in vain."

Stating that he does not accept his family being sentenced based on base station and HTS records, Güran argued how Nevzat could have arrived at his house within two minutes after Salim's call, and insisted that the killer is definitely Nevzat.

Claiming that his wife, son, and brother have no connection to this murder, either closely or remotely, father Arif Güran used the expressions, "Nevzat killed my daughter Narin either in his own barn or by taking her to the creek."

"SOCIAL MEDIA SETS UP A COURT EVERY DAY"

Saying, 'A court is set up on social media every day and my family is being sentenced,' father Güran stated, "I believe that if a decision is made, it will be an early decision.

I want the Narin case to be investigated a bit more. If a sentence is given against my family, well, that is a court decision, it is the court's discretion.

But I will continue my legal struggle. We want a re-examination and a detailed crime scene reconstruction to be conducted in Nevzat's barn.

Especially if a detailed investigation is conducted in the barn belonging to Nevzat's house, some evidence regarding Narin's murder might emerge," he said.
